I had the Redback traditional and Salix Pods. The Salix were nice but the extra padding in the 'V' of the thumb and first finger felt quite thick and didn't feel comfortable when holding the bat. This season I have been using the Redbacks which were very good if not a little chunky in terms of protection. I would say I have average size hands and there was a bit of room in the Redbacks but I think the sizing of these is spot on for me.
 

So out of those three you rate these highest?

In terms of comfort are these better than Salix Pod?

I have SS Millenium Pro gloves which are exactly same as H4L LE model and I really like them and they feel great so I think I might order those soon and if you can answer my above question I can probably think of these but I like in red and white but they are sold out

Yes I would rate these the highest. Didn't get on at all with the pods because of the extra palm padding in the 'V' - it felt weird when holding a bat.

When I ordered mine it said sold out on the website, but I emailed Matt to see if he had any in stock and he had just had a delivery the week before of the Hattori softs, not sure of the others.

They are different to the gloves and pads I bought a few months ago. Wonder why matt would change the design halfway through the season?

Have you got a picture to compare by any chance please Stewie...?
Then I could move Mav's picture so the 2 are next to each other and we can see the differences..

I also noticed some subtle changes during the season, for example the colouring on the Excel gloves is now a lighter blue...

I guess given that Matt is/has been making lots of orders for softs through the season (as they are so popular), he has the room/flexibility to play around with the design to make it as good as possible.

we did change the wrist band /straps to solid black instead of white ,thought it worked better !?  this was done after the website photos etc... we do have a limited stock of all the colours in mrh , we have reordered  due in 4-6 weeks , This years softs are staying the same for 2012 , but we might add a little suprise to the range ....
