a talisman special and a legal one for a change...
« on: September 02, 2011, 07:03:01 PM »

hello, ok it took ages to arrive, but it seems pretty decent...

I asked for a bat as similar to the other bat in the pic as possible, but with a thick oval handle. weight 2.9.

what I got was a bat with a normal oval handle and a naked weight of 2.8 so when dressed and oiled will be perfect. the handle thing is irritating, but it is a super weapon. it has had mongoose stickers removed so you can have a think about where the bat could have ended up by mistake... not in Somerset or Wales apparently...

Can't think who's it would have been, Lou Vincent maybe? Only other possible would be Azhar.

Who's the Talisman in the background of picture 2 for?

Not in that shape or with that handle!

Yes, on second glance the shape didn't look right. Although I heard MT wasn't using MB anymore so this one could have been an outcast

tom, if you believe the brimble, and being sceptical on this is reasonable, your first guess is as good as any...

Buzz, is this a bat custom made to your requested specs? Or a rejected "pro" bat similar to what you asked for?

it is what I asked for, but already on tk's cnc, so a bit of both.

I haven't had a net with it yet so can only say it picks up well (as does my £50 kookaburra by the way) and will be a pleasure to use.

oh and nothing rejected about it, it never made it to the individual, if you believe these things...

MB as in Brimble!
Why would MT need to buy bats through Mike? I went to Keeley with Tres last year to finalise his shape and program them in the machine. He has Tim's phone number too

oh and nothing rejected about it, it never made it to the individual, if you believe these things...
Lou wouldn't reject a bat! He uses literally anything, but this is closest to the SS's he got off Hayden. hence my guess. It could quite well be his, it looks better than some of the stuff he's had in the past.
