Two out of three new models with no concaving. I wonder if this is the first indication that trends are changing back to more traditional designs.

Until we get some "hands-on" reviews it's difficult to tell. 1885 looks like a traditional profile bat beefed up, Halo possibly a Hero/T20 bat and the Epic a typical Asian profile bat. You could say the Epic is an Apex with a spine going to the toe.

What bothers me with most GM's is the thickness of the edges towards the top. Maybe it's me but I feel compared to most bats too much wood sits in the splice area. Might be for pickup/durability issues though.

And more wood up top can mean better pickup too. I cringe at the Laver Special-esque shapes where the first 6 inches of the blade are thinner than the handle. Just looks like a snap waiting to happen.

I think GM have got this right and can look forward to a very successful 2012!

Wonder which model Swanny will be using now?

Sorry if this is stupid post and has already been covered. Which of the current 2011 range had been ditched in place of these?

Apex has gone, so they have effectively added two more ranges.

Well to me the Flare/1885/Halo all look quite similar.
