CB40 Finals Day
« on: September 14, 2011, 08:57:09 AM »

Morning all - FYI there are still loads of tickets available for the game at Lords on Saturday if any of you fancy going to the home of cricket.

Tickets can be picked up at http://tickets.lords.org/acatalog/CB40.html £5 for under 16s, £40 for most decent tickets and the top tickets are £50.

Surrey vs Zummerzet should be a really good game
(Come on the REYYY!!)

Is Trescothick fit and well and able to take an MMi out to try and hit the ball over the pavilion?

And more to the point, would the opposition, knowing that he has the opportunity to do this, try and stop him, or bowl him a couple deliberately, basing it on the idea that if he fails he'll probably get out?

Sky sports HD works  ;)
Seriously, Surrey have 5 spin options? And not that many pace bowlers!
Either very clever or taking a gamble!!

Its a tactic that seems to have worked so far really, i think we can get away with so many spinners as most of our team can bat and bowl. Dernbach Maynard and Roy are the only players who only perform one duty. Even with 5 spinners we still have 3 seamers so a very versatile side and if the spin doesnt work as well as hoped hamilton-brown could bowl his medioum-pace instead and we would just about have 4 seamers!

EDIT: There we go, tresco gone, spriegels done his job 1 wicket and under 6 an over atm.

Surrey aren't doing any special bowling! Somerset just look as if they are doing their absolute best to get themselves out!!! Surrey should just continue to bowl quite tightly and I reckon Somerset will help them out!  ;)

Am I the only one who has heard rumour that Graeme Smith is coming back to Somerset for next season?
