Redback Modern Pads
« on: September 21, 2011, 11:48:05 AM »

Thinking of investing for next season, just wondering if anyone has any and if they could help me out?

I have big calves, just wondering as to the size of the straps/leg coverage and how they shape up size wise against other pads? Also how light they are, comfort etc.

Thanks in advance.

I got a pair at the back end of the season. Not worn them yet but will dig them out and let you know.

So it's YOU pushing up the national average that makes pad makers put stupidly long straps on their pads?! ;)

Really?! I tend to find them about the right length so either I have big calves or you have chicken legs  ;)

I tend to find most pads have straps that are too short!

The full spectrum of sizes then in only 4 members!
Back on subject I am away with work for a couple of days but I will reply with size, weight details on the Redbacks over the weekend if your question is still unanswered by then.

Finally got hold of these today. Feel very comfy to me, good length straps too.
Weight is 713g per pad which whilst not super light is certainly no biffer and they feel light enough to me.
In terms of calf coverage I would say about average.
If you want any measurements then let me know.
