Team Clothing ideas
« on: September 30, 2011, 12:56:33 PM »

Hi guys I was just interested in knowing if anyone has dealt with MKK or Kukri in regards to purchasing a full set of whites embroidered for a team. I'd love to get the exact Surrey ccc 4 day kit from MKK but it doesn't seem available for the public.  My team are looking for a kit supplier and these two seem to look the smartest. Any other companies worth trying???

You should try the clothing @ Uzi Sports - High Quality Smart Shirts at an affordable price and excellent customer service. I did a small review somewhere, possibly in the Uzi Sports section on this forum not to long ago, have a look

the Cotton Traders whites look really smart - they are slightly whiter than the average whites - which I like and they are made from a pretty decent quality cloth.

Thanks guys, the UZI sports ones look similar to the surridge gear. But the UZI ones look a bit more lightweight with the mesh, climacool-esq stuff down the sides. They defiantly look smart but I'm not a fan of those collars and a medium surridge top just hangs off me like I'm a 10 year old in my dads kit, do these resemble the surridge gear in any way Matt?

I'm afraid I can't really compare as I haven't tried on a surridge kit, however I normally wears mens medium clothes and this is a medium shirt and it's a very similar size to my other clothes and fits well. Looking at the surridge kits, I would say that the UZI shirts do not resemble them at all to be honest as the UZI ones are fitted and don't just 'hang' off.

The quality of the shirts are superb and I really like the collars on them. They have a range of materials that can be used as well. I think they are fully customisable as far as I am aware, speak to Asad about it and he can answer any of your queries regarding his clothing.

Many thanks Matt I'll look into it, they definatley seem to be made from a lighter material, and it's more the button arrangement on the collar rather than the collar itself but I might be being picky lol I can't seem to view any cotton traders stuff Shame cause the Durham kit looks very smart!!

The Uzi shirts look ok other than the collar looks far too deep and long, maybe this can be changed on request.

Also the front printing is very good but the numbers on the back remind me of the font-style on the back of the girls netball vests at school - A round zero would definately be preferable! All in all it doesnt look like a top kit manufacturer to me but might be perfectly acceptable for club cricket.

It all depends on the budget you have, the MKK kit is very nice but I expect it is at the top end of the price spectrum Bird man.

Unless you manage to find a decent sponsor who will heavily subsidise your purchase it might be time to shop around other manufacturers for quotes

Having spoken to Asad at Uzi about club kit before I can confirm that he is very flexible in terms of custom requests so is definitely worth a shout.

Yes I agree Alba, Not bad but again not amazing, I think turning up in something that looks the bees knees grabs the respect of the opposition straight away. The MKK stuff isn't that bad price wise £20 -£25 a shirt considering the price and quality of it compared to footy shirts and rugby shirts nowadays, and we might be lucky enough to have a national company as our sponsor fingers crossed

we can do fully customised clothing according to customers need. we offer 100% customisation service. If you require different collar then that is no problem at all. we do around 8 different collars. Our clothing web site is under construction, once  it is up and running you will have all the info you require. we have 4-5 different qualities of cricket shirts/Trousers fabric available.
we can offer sublimation on the cricket clothing.
we can design the clothing for you with your logos, colours, names, numbers etc. Prices are very competative, basically what you expect from manufacturer rather than from companies who are acting as middlemen.
Our lead time is MAX 6 weeks.
