has anyone any experience with these? and are they any good as they seem real value for money....... they are on the bay of e

i had one last season 50mm edges laminated (which he didnt mention) went like poo off a shovel but lasted half a season

Didn't Dave (procricket) speak to the guy who was selling these?
I'm sure he was looking at them at one point and talking about trying one out! Either way, he didn't rave about them!

i bought 4 off him at the end of last season and within 4 nets all 4 of them had broken, i asked him for a replacement and he said when we get the new stock in, i emailed him the the stock was in and he told me to basically F off. abit of a seedy person.

This guy gets these bats from a pro whose played inthe North Staffs South Cheshire League for a while (Mo Hussain), he used to sell Hunt bats which are made at the same factory I'm led to believe.

I wouldn't recommend them, they are rife in Stoke and Gary (Spyder) has had a few asking if he can repair broken handles.

I was considering going to visit and see for myself, but after reading various posts on here I won't waste the petrol.

I was thinking of getting one. emailed buyers who had brought off him and they were all pleased with their bats.

I guess the way to approach buying these is to remember all the feedback that has been provided on here and the web and not be disappointed if you get a bat that breaks quickly and you can't get any kind of return on. Generally, as always with the web, if it seems to good to be true, it usually is.

As a note, if he's selling cricket bats that do break after a few uses, you could probably get him on SOGA as selling stuff that's not fit for purpose, but that would be a hard road.

I would keep your money and save it for something else personally. The chances of you getting something quality and lasting (even 500 runs) seem totally limited. As a result why pay the money.

500 runs would last me at least 5 years that way it has been going!!

I bought one a few months ago, for £60 all in. Wasn't expecting much but was drawn to the size for weight (42mm edges on a 2'7)

It sure is ugly, but as we know ugly doesn't mean crap. I used it in a work/charity match and it certain flew. I cannot of course speak for how long it will last, but I would point out that the handle lets it down to some extent. Thin and round, which isn't my preference, but for £30 for a rehandle, you would have a very good bat for under a hundred quid. They certainly are dried more than normal, but as has been pointed out, uness you are scoring 1000+ runs a season, this shouldn't be a primary concern. HTH

a bloke from my club goes and buy's around 10 a couple of times a season and sells them on, and everyone seems well impressed with them, ive used a couple and there very good
