To be perfectly honest, it's best for you to be there and pick the bat for you.
From what I've heard, you're buying a bat purely from the brand name; when instead you should find a bat which suits your style of play and willow preferences.

I could be wrong but do you think SAF has sold as many bats as Redback, SAF or even H4L?

I don't go much after rating to be honest.
I'm sure they haven't but why is that a bad thing? Look at how SAF make their bats. One guy doing it part-time. I believe that Redback and H4L are full-time and Black Cat have sub-contracted their production out (but correct me if I'm wrong). I could argue that Gray Nicolls have sold far more bats so must be much better. That argument isn't really a good one!

My point is that if those bats were soo good how come only few people are using them?

I don't know about Matt but I once heard Gary is part timer bat maker, not sure.

Gary at Redback used to be part time but has been full time for quite some time now I believe.

All those you mention will provide you with a top top class bat. It should be emphasised that H4L are doing an offer at the moment, which represents a brilliant deal.

Of those listed, all but Black Cat make their bats, so unless one of the stock BC shapes will suit you, perhaps consider the others as they can work with you to produce a bat exactly to your specs.

SAF may not have produced as many bats, but they have at times this year closed their order book, as they couldn't meet demand, so they must be doing something right

h4l I'm near heathrow airport

Whereabouts are you based - thats very near me?

Chase would be about 40 mins, and H4L would be just over an hour I reckon?
