I have never ever bought a top of the range bat so it's strange ,
I don't know what I should be looking for what's best for me ,

Have you looked in this section in the forum? The H4L current offer is the topic two below yours...

With all the others, the best bet is to use the forum sections and follow links to makers websites or PM them via the forum. They will help you understand what they can offer you and for what price.

With regard to what is best for you, the GM bat selector http://www.gm-cricket.com/pages/bat-selector/ will give you a reasonable idea as to the type of bat that suits the way you play, when combined with the bat shape matrix http://www.gm-cricket.com/pages/mens-bat-shapes.aspx it will tell you how the bat it recommends is shaped, e.g. low middle, etc. You can then use this while talking to batmakers.
