I think that the most interesting part of the day was the result of retime using ask the bats. Finally an independent view on whether expensive willow is the best, whether laminates really work and which bats do their jobs the best. It also speed that different people have very different views...

Amazing how the Stig makes 85mph seem very easy!

Yeah, he must be a test player seeing how he smashed that bowling around ;)

If thats 85mph and he is middling it effortlessly he must be a county pro surely.

The results of the bat testing may be inconclusive, but the back wall has certainly been put through the paces.

the results are being compiled, the stig and helpers tested about 20 bats.

Niiiiiiice - Stig has got one hell of an eye!  Mind you, the guy on the bowling machine looked like he knew what he was doing!

Sadly I am not the Stig. This was my opportunity to try out a few interesting pieces of willow. I have to say that I was very fond of the Mongoose, but I told the other chaps which three I preferred at the end of my session.
