Any pics of the Hunts stuff? I picked Hawk because Hunts are let down by their softs.

Hawk for me. Bats are as good as you can get. Softs all made by SS and won awards last year from AOC or Wisden, can't remember which. A lot of mates have solitaire and hawk bats and all very happy with them. If you don't want to spend too much go Solitaire, otherwise hawk everytime.

I wonder how many people have given you an opinion based on actually using 1 of the 4 brands mentioned?

Decide what bat specs you want and email each company explaining what you want as well as kit. See which customer service is the best and who will do you the best deal. Agree with many that Solitaire are probably the cheapest and Hawk the most expensive. Are you getting double the quality for double the price?

Sure all 4 will provide you with great equipment, it's all down to personal preference of which you like the look of most!

Rank them in order of desire, then visit the first one and see how it goes. If nothing takes your fancy go to number 2. You're in a position where you dont have to buy a bat if you dont see anything you like

I've used hunts bats years ago and were great. Not sure if they are as good these days. Have tried out hawk and solitaire. Found the 2 solitaires I've tried a bit bottom heavy but that could be just personal preference. Both bats were made based on bats I own which friends liked so they took them to solitaire. The copy of my salix pod came out well but the copy of my newbery uzi was nothing like it. Had a low middle and bottom heavy, but my mate loves it and it goes well.

The standard hawk xbow is only £190 and still grade 1 willow and x10 is £170 so not that much more than solitaire. They all hand made to your spec and service is fantastic. All the hawks I've tried go as well as my salix which is the best bat I've owned. Never used V sports so couldn't comment.
