2.9-2.11 for me. Will go lighter for a lower middled bat to compensate for a slightly heavier pick-up

2:10 ish maybe a bit more, had thought my match bat was a bit to light towards the end of the season. I weighed it recently and it was 2:5, glad I changed it for the coming season

It was a bulldog pedigree, had a couple refurbs and spent most of the summer in the car also. So it was no surprise it had lost the weight over a few years

ahh but it was sold to you at 2lb 9 but did you actually check it? i was once sold a bat at 2lb 8 ungripped, it felt nice, but when gripped (a single chevron) it was actually 2lb 13.

I aim for 2.10-2.11

However have used 2.9s and 2.12s with not much bother. Really depends on where I am batting though, if opening obviously I would like a lighter bat to cope with the new ball etc...

It's really subjective, I'd be interested to try a 2.6 bat like Dave procricket had..

My old bat now weighs 2.6 after being in my room for a few years. Definitely hold my shape better in shots ;)

Would I be right in thinking that bats leak weight over the years due to them losing moisture?

Yeah, that's why you're meant to oil them every now and again.
