Good enough - probably, though I think its a risk when they also have Hussey in there that it blocks younger talent.  Personally I whint to him that he jumps before getting the push.  As for the younger talent, I wonder if they've considered Warner - as was frequently noted in the CLT20, he plays classical shots whilst hitting the ball hard and may actually be the nearest thing to Hayden that they have available.  Just a thought...

Warner also averages 59.66 from his 16 first class innings, with 3 centuries and 2 fifties. He would be a much better option than Hughes as he can actually play the short stuff.

Who else would get Eoin Morgan out of the test team and bring in Shane Watson in a heartbeat if it was possible?

IMO, Marsh should open and Khawaja should go to 3.

The difference is that the 'England of old' didn't contain as many top class batsmen!
When you look as the SA batting unit it is top notch! So it's a shocker when they all fall over!
The fat lady is warming up as it's 9 down now! Will be interesting to see if SA pull themselves together?
Also, unless they get another run or 2 then they could be made to follow on?

Remarkably, Australia have a lead of 188!

SA's innings lasted less than 25 overs. Remarkable.

Australia will be hoping to bat SA completely out of the game by posting a 300+ score.

However, who knows what furrther twists this game has in store?

47 for 9 since lunch? Sheeez! That's a collapse of Biblical proportions!

Harris and Watson sounded as if they were on pretty good form!  ;)
