« on: November 17, 2011, 10:43:33 PM »

Guys,

So here it is the forums 2011 Christmas raffle!
The raffle is open to CB forum members only and raffle tickets will be £10 each, a brilliant price for the prizes you stand to have a chance of winning. All entrants are required to answer a cricket question for entry (this means we are complying with regulations)This question is:

What does LBW stand for, is it:
A: Limbs Before Willow
B: Leg Before Wicket
C: Limb Behind Wicket

There will be 49 tickets sold, to reflect all the numbers in the national lottery, this is because the winners will be drawn out by the national lottery (lotto) on christmas eve. The first number will get the first prize and so on and so on. The prizes are:

1. Charlie French premier Cru (rrp £240!)
2. Charlie French Premier Cru (rrp £240!)
3. Fusion Multi-Stump Set; 3 stumps, 3 spikes and a base (rrp £95)
4. Sidearm Pro (rrp £30)
5. Sidearm Club (rrp £26)
6. Fusion Multi-Stump; Stump and spike (rrp £24.99)

Tickets can be purchased up to the 23:59 on the 23/12/2011 uk time. We will not be accepting entrants after this time.

The numbers below will have names by them when taken. This will strictly be first come first serve with payments taking precedents on this topic alone.

Drop me a pm with your question answer and Preferred number and we will reply confirming all and providing the paypal email for payment.

Not forgetting those of you who are not uk residents, we are willing to contribute the amount it would cost to send within the uk towards sending abroad should you buy a ticket and win :)

Please read the amendments to the raffle, in order to comply with all regulations we have had to add in a question, which being part of a cricket forum we would hope you can all answer! Please no answers on topic :D

The procedure remaining unchanged though, just pm us an answer and preferred number and we'll confirm all and give payment details.

And finally good luck to all and please back the raffle, it sohuld provide a great xmas eve atmosphere! and giving a chance to win a decent prizes at minimal prices, if its well backed then competitions of different sorts may be looked upon more favourably in the future by prospective runners :)

Thanks for your time.

Question:

if santa were to bring us either prize number 1 or 2, would we be able to choose the weight/specification of the bat we want?

many thanks

The bats can be chosen from any of the ones we have in stock at the current time, or, if we have nothing that floats your boat, then we can have another made up for you, with your choice of weight and profile, we urge you to choose a profile from the current cf range, as these are the profiles charlie can produce best, however if something different is wanted, as long as it isnt outrageous then i am sure charlie will be able to help you out in those respects!

Not sure if this was answers in the previous thread, what happens if you don't sell all the numbers, there must be a 'break even' point.

Like you said before, it's not a profit making excersise but all this obviously cost a fair amount of bunce.

The raffle will go ahead no matter how many tickets are sold. If it has to be subsidised then so be it, this is why we are hoping the members can help us to sell them all :)
