Last cricket tour involved writing off the minibus I was driving in town 50 metres from picking everyone up. The exhaust snapping off the replacement minibus and it sounding like a turbo charged Tractor. Losing 5 balls in an evening match, 12 vodka shots to start the night as penalty drinks for the minibus. Finding a club rammed to the hilt on a Monday night. Trying to persuade someone not to sleep with a WPC older than their Mum!!! Being involved in a nocturnal incident leading to our final warning and in time a 2 year ban from Travelodges. And that was simply the first day...

Tours, I love them.

we went to bridgnorth, shropshire last july sun-thurs. very good although i dont recommend the local beer, it was called golden glow but it gave everybody a brown glow the following day! it came out of the pump looking like bubble bath so were worried to begin with! played at whittington cc, brosely cc both 40 over games which we won and then last game played knockin cc (small visit to the knockin shop on the way) two 20 over games on last day, not a good idea...
there were 12 of us under the age of 30 in a small bungalow and it absolutely stunk, we were locking out first night but we managed to force bedroom window and then swan dive onto a sleeping members bed!

weymouth ain't too far from me mate, i live in bridport. went to Banbury in september and should be going again this year. it involved lots of fines, i played for the other team as we had 13 players to make it 12 a side and i got 2 wickets so ended up with £5 worth or fines and i got off easy as i'm a junior! all the older guys went off drinking and to night clubs at night and me and 2 other juniors were left in the hotel! but it was fun throwing water over the older ones whilst they were smoking outside! played golf which involved more fines for the people less abled in the sport! think thats about all i can mention on the forum!!

club chairman 67 years old, first man to be sick on tour, biggggggggggg fine....

we then had a small incident with our host/cook who tried to claim that we had stolen one of his sirloin steaks as his he had definately cooked 14 but only 13 had been received! club president (age 60) trying to chat up french waitress called audrey, he tried some of his yorkshire french to ask where his eggs where and it went:

'oooo eh lez erfes?'

played pitch and putt golf, and one lad who plays for different club but came on tour lost it big style and chucked a 9 iron and team joker

My last tour was the Johnny Winter Stag XI tour in August 2007, organised for my stag do. We played around North Lincolnshire at Louth, Grimsby and Cleethorpes (which is where I grew up) - won the first match, but heavy drinking took a terrible toll on team performance and there were some woeful displays in the other 2 games (we had 3-4 non-cricketers playing, which was a laugh). As stag I was tour whipping boy - first night I got attacked with a fire extinguisher at 3am, and on the last day they egged me from the clubhouse balcony as I arrived at the ground.

Travelodge Cardiff hanging out of the window, bog roll soaked in lighter fluid from top floor lit and burning like a demented Comet hit our Zimbawean square in the chest as he walked some bird he had pulled back to his room. She was a game girl as she still came up!!!!
