Ryans first bat attempt

Well ryan purchase a G2 part made from matt @ H4l to have a quick bash at bat making and tbh so far it looks fantastic! i am very impressed with his skills for his first attempt!
 
not 100% finished yet but dam good effort
 
here are all the pics hope they are in right order

finished it last night, well excluding the handle binding. its going to be about 2.95/2.10 when 100% complete.

it was about 2.11 in those last pics but Ive since taken  it down to about 2.85. I'll get the finished pics up soon

great to see someone take of a full on raw handled cleft as their first effort as i did the same to attempt to appreciate the skill and effort that went into making a shaped bat.

Got to say that looks really good, can I ask what tools did you use to create this? Look forward to seeing the finished bat.

Used a number 4 plane, spokeshave for the handle hand sander and a bench sander, that's it...hopefully receive a drawknife soon. Also may have a lath coming to bind the handle properly.

all that's left to do now is sort some stickers. Simmy and his friends should hopefully have that sorted this week :D

Yeah very happy with it. Not sure on the weight now that the handle is bound, could do with weighing it again.

Don't know yet, netting with it on Sunday so we'll see. Got my blue room and Salix so only time will tell.
