Review of Recoil 250
« on: December 12, 2011, 11:00:17 PM »

I thought I would post a quick review of the kookaburra recoil 250 which I collected today. Over the last month or so, I have been intrigued by the new bat launched from kookaburra, the recoil. After purchasing a GN 100 and a huge PowerBow, I thought that would be me sorted for the season, but after finding this particular bat on the bay, I placed a bid and was lucky enough to get it for opening bid.

The bat itself is impressive. It weighs 2lb 8oz and has 35mm edges. It has 7 grains with a few blemishes here and there, which can only be excepted in the lower end model. The finish on the bat is better than some previous kookaburra bats I have seen. Overall, the bat looks the bat in terms of size, stickers and grains.

The performance of the bat is hard to exain as I haven't really used it yet. I have been tapping it up with a new ball and it seems to ping really well, and with a relatively long middle, I think kookaburra are spot on with this model. The pick up is light, but at 2.8, I wasn't expecting a train sleeper.

Overall, I think this bat is one of the better kookaburra bats over the last few years, and I am very pleased.

Apologises for the pics, iPhone flashes are rubbish!

Does look a nice stick! Prefer the new kookaburra stickers to those of the past as well.
Looks like you get a bargain
