Hi BB and welcome to the forum.
This bat 1 looks very nice with generous proportions, and I would imagine is based on a Laver & Wood (Ultra)

Bat 1 is an Amplus through and through imo ;)

I can see why you might think that but this is a completely custom bat made to our specs,  but appreciate you think it looks like a £300+ bat :)

I recon that's a belter. If any of you guys are heading down here to play (esp Perth), this is the profile youll need, although 2.12 would be considered heavy (assuming a good grade of cricket), but you guys seem to use much heavier bats, as long as you can hook & cut quicks.

Well, owning a Porsche and a car that looks like a Porche are 2 different things.

Would it perform like one as well i.e. Like a £300+ bat?

What grade willow is this?

From where this bat comes, it will be a good one for sure. But as good as a SPS or similar grade?

we have a few shapes in mind that will be released in 2012.

Decisions are still being made as to what our stock shapes will be but i have a feeling this one may sneak its way into the lineup.....

I might be wrong, but you may struggle to sell many in this profile in the UK due to the nature of the wickets (at least up north).

Also weight will be a concern mate. This is a good big and heavy bat (2lb13oz)n but most people will be looking for a 2lb8oz to 2lb10oz or thereabouts and for that weight you will have to sacrifice a lot of the stunning profile/size.

I have been to quite a few retailers in the past weeks and most of their stock of senior bats in 2lb7oz to 2lb10oz followed by a very small percentage in 2lb12 and above.

Most companies are now trying to offer big and light bats, so maybe you are rowing against the tide.

But for £150 you will find a lot of takers as this is a very competitive price point.

Btw, what grade is the willow and the grading process?

totally agree - 80% of people won't be interested in this bat due to the weight, however good it is.

Whilst admittedly this bat is heavy on the scales, its pick up more than makes up for that. Agreed this weight will not be everyone's cup of tea but we are all different. We have every confidence in our bats, and believe they perform as well as any. Thank you for comments we will take these on board. it is our aim to provide a good quality product at a very competitive price.

Was watching fox sports earlier, where the pinacle of English athleticism was being showcased in televised darts.

no it's because we play on puddings against donkey droppers with an outfield of knee deep grass, where only a tree will get the thing off the square. Quick bowling on hard bouncy decks and we'll all be dropping bat weights in search of bat speed.

Most would drop weight I play on some quick decks and against some very sharp bowling with the county lot but I'm the low % that still feels comfortable with a heavy bat must be my svelt figure

No takers on this yet then hmmmmm
