Grills
« on: March 01, 2009, 06:04:10 PM »

Are all Ti grills similar weight? Or do they vary largely between brands. I have a gray nicholls Ti grill that i bought a few years back attached to my albion lid. I'm looking to get a new helmet, but obviously the good ones are very pricey. I'm thinking of just getting a masuri or albion lid from somewhere, and using my existing grill. Would I lose out on performance that much by not having a masuri or albion grill?

If i was you mate i would just get a brand new masuri Ti as if you look after them it will last you a very long time unless you get hit seriously bad and then you will have to change it.

Yea it really depends on the helmet. If you get a masuri it will be lighter because the grille is smaller.

Yes... sounds like bull, I doubt the all use identical compounds, i wouldn't think its pure Ti... Any idea which helmet is the lightest, FOR DEFINITE??
