Rehandling and Weight Reduction- Wheres best?
« on: December 28, 2011, 06:09:54 PM »

Hola Chaps,
Ive will be in London in a fortnight and have 2 bats that need rehandling, one needs a weight reduction and the other some cracks in the toe sorting. Both need toe guards fitting as well. Where can I get the best price on the above? I know that Bat Repairs does the above at £35 per bat which is great but I just want to ask if anyone has any other ideas? Its important that  the weight reduction must be done by a batmaker to balance the bat correctly.
Cheers, Previn

The first cricket box was used in 1874.  The first cricket helmet was introduced in 1974. So, it took 100 years for men to twig that their brains were also worth protecting.

What's the nearest batmaker to you currently Previn?!

Has to be said there is a complete lack of a north west batmaker - I bet they could make a killing - reckon Matt Barton should relocate - far too many batmakers in Kent already!

Closest to me would be a Morroccan cabinet maker so my options are limited.
Probably cheapest to do both bats with Dom for postage from London and £70

Didn't James from lekka claim that a moroccan cabinet maker was far more skilled than an experienced pod shaver - you might be on a winner there! ;P
