thanks mate.  face pics are not completely showing the grains quality ( I have oiled and waxed it ) but shaving timber also let you feel the difference in Grade 1 and lower grades I have that feeling. Moreover its meat in that weight and rebound from mallet promises to be a Grade 1.

It's sometimes hard to show how good some bats look unless your a photographer! I know my pics are usually bad.

You've done a great job on making the bat! Is it really grade 1 though? I'd be a bit disappointed if I ordered a grade 1 and got that.

Bit of heartwood is good for you! Like a bit of roughage!
And it could of been graded on performance.
