Double topics...
« on: May 29, 2008, 11:38:59 PM »

CB Users and Admins.

I think this forum could be a great success IF; people stop posting the same topic on here and on another forum.

Maybe they want more views either way and opinions but, people are not joining from other forums because they simply think its a carbon copy, topic wise.

Only a suggestion.

Just be nice to see some more original topics, that maybe could be exclusive to Custombats

I agree up to a point, but we can't stop people from posting on both forums. It's their choice.

One of the reasons there aren't loads of posts on here is firstly members, look on CSF - a lot of the topics are started on quite trivial things by people with a low post count. Now at the moment our members our pretty much limited to those from CSF so they've all been through the stage where they make lots of topics and make lots of posts. For this forum to be a success we need it to come up high in Google if people search a certain bat or if people search "Cricket forum" this is something we're looking into.

My postings are pretty much limited to this forum, so if you want to see me you find me here  ;D

Agree some of our members are giving our main rivals some really brilliant topics. Now i cant stop you posting but if we ever want custom bats to be a success we need unique topics  :)

Also we need members on here to create more topics (good ones lol) because sometimes "theres nothing to chat about" as some members tell me - if there isnt then make a topic!

Whilst I do agree with this, I feel there are a wider range of people on CSF who have a wealth of cricketing knowledge, as opposed to only a few on here, simply because this is such a new forum. Once this forum is bustling like CSF is, then it will be far better, I think, than CSF is.

I think Arthur is right and another reason why some people post the same topics on here and CSF is because they want to get information quick, and you're more likely to get info if your topics on here and CSF then just on CSF or just on here.... 8)

I have no problem with people posting on other forums, but I personally believe that the posts on this forum are more knowledgable than on other forums. And on this forum topics will not end in bullying or an irrelevant banter.

Been thinking about this - I seem to always check this forum ahead of others now. Although I don't plan to stop posting on other forums, I think this is the only forum I'll start new topics on. If other people do the same I'm sure it will help this forum grow.

Dam straight i post one post on CSF and everybody is getting stuck into me!! lol

Here that does not happen.

I mean this forum is very knowledgable we have

Tom: Our Fusion bloke for everything Fusion cricket
Bombercricket: For all Bomber cricket equiptment
E4sby:For his new bat making company CE
Bulldog: For the bulldog cricket company gear!
Hell4leathercricket: Whos comps we all look forward to!
Noblair: Whos a podshaver, ie batmaker
Redback cricket:  Who makes cracker bats. If only i could nick one!! lol

That is just the cricket company blokes

Then you have Mtown and Sameer two very knowledgable blokes. With our funny admins danny and leo i mean what a line up.

And this post would not be complete without a shameless self promotion ;D

I will try and help with anything to do with Aero cricket.
