He broke the record for the fastest 50 in the comp so far of 23 balls, but it was then broken in the same game by Travis Birt who scored his off 22, with 26 of them coming off 5 balls in a row (4 4 6 6 6)

if his ton was from 44 balls and his first 50 was off 23 balls, that would imply his second 50 was of 21 balls (realise there are other permutations) which would have been faster than Travis Burt's :o

either way some awesome hitting from an England reject - that will do his IPL value no harm at all.
