Bowling spikes generally have mid cut ankles with full spikes and a step across the front

All rounder generally start out as half spkies but come with full spikes

Batting spikes may be low cut and permanent half spikes

Additionally, bowling spikes will generally have 4 heel spikes and 7 in the forefoot. As others have said, they usually aren't low cut. Google asics 8 for 64 to get an idea.

Saw those.

So if a shoes have 4 heel spikes and 6 in the forefoot that is batting or all round?

It isn't really the spike configuration. Bowling boots generally are high and full spike. Generally low cut are not specifically for bowling.

Cheers for a quick reply mate, a friend asked me but I was not too sure!

You say more of batting allrounder because of steel spike on front ? On toe..

Unfortunately for us to use them here we have to take steel spikes off and use rubber ones.

Personally I would say there are boots designed specifically for bowling, and then there are the rest. Whatever you wear should come down to personal preference

Hey CD, what type of spikes you wear depends on your function/preference/what you want out of them...

I am a bowling allrounder.  I have different set of shoes for bowling and batting...

ones pictured here could be used more for bowling than batting, I use the puma & adidas with full spikes for bowling (cant remember the model) but not for batting...i prefer bowling boots with ankle support as that works great for bowling... prefer shoes with just 4 spikes for batting as sometimes spikes can also restrict foot movement while batting...

Bowling boots always seem to me to be high on the ankles and have velcro support.

I know for batting I look for a central front spike so I can mark my guard.
