Sounds like we've got a few takers, let's get this comp up and running
I think it is an excellent idea for playing mid-week T20 Last Man Stands cricket!

I'm also thinking that the David Warner Baseball Stance needs to be employed...

I've used a homemade middling bat in a Sunday Friendly. I used a normal bat up until I got 30 odd then swapped it and hit one single with it before chopping on!

In SCS yesterday they had Kookaburra middling bats

In varying weights and £25. The back was painted white but the face actually had some nice clean grains. They came with mini kahuna stickers in them and a full length scuff sheet

I nearly did, saw them on my first visit there, found the ine that felt the same as my bats, put it to the back of the line so I knew which one it was. Then went into the town to get money and have a look around, went back to get pads and forgot about the middling bat!

Were they actually selling middling bats which were 'proper' weights? In other words, were any of the bats 2'9-2'11 in weight?

Don't think they had weights listed on them, but the first one I picked up felt too heavy for me to use and I use 2lbs 10oz max

If it's just a middling bat I doesn't matter whether it's Kashmir, English, Canadian or any other willow.
It's the weight I need really - Cheers  8)
