Chase R11 Gloves
« on: January 13, 2012, 10:19:32 PM »

Hi Fellas,

I promised a few guys on here I would post up some pics of my Chase gloves that I picked up tonight. Sadly I couldn't get any pics of the keeping gloves as they were in sealed packs but I will get them on Wednesday when I see Dan (I picked these up from the shop not the factory)

Luckily myself and Hosk had a net booked so I could try them out almost immediately. First impressions are that they look great! They are not quite as supple as my Puma 5000 gloves but I think with a bit of use they will loosen up nicely and be on a par. Having spent some time with Dan from Chase before Christmas I know how much time and effort he has put into his softs for this season and it really shows. The wristband is snug without being tight and nice and wide without being too wide. Protection is excellent. I didn't wear any on the gloves in the nets but they feel solid and sturdy and I am sure they will protect me perfectly. They are also extremely light which is a bonus. One of the best thing's about them is the price. £39.99 for a top of the range glove. Compared to the top of the range offerings from most other manufacturers 40 quid seems like a good deal to me.

No pittards palms but that's not an issue for me, never really seen what all the fuss is about. Sizing is good, I have fairly big mitts and I can comfortably get them on with a set of inners. All in all I am very happy and once they are a bit more worn in they should prove to be excellent gloves.

No need to apologise, personal preference is everything with kit. It all does the same job so most of us buy on looks anyway....

I think they need more splits personally, not a fan of the black either

They are a sort of half and half. Not quite a sectioned glove but not quite a sausage glove. Probably why they feel stiff compared to my Puma's....

I think they look ok. I wouldn't buy a pair because I think they're too much going on, it's neither classic nor modern

They look nice in my opinion :).

They resemble a lot SS Millenium Pro gloves and those gloves were awesome for me.

Two things I was a bit disappointed with; wristband not being tight and no pittards :(

Thanks for the review Pedals, I know I had bugged you a lot for it :(

In the R11 range they offer a Small Mens and an OSM size but you have to drop down to the R4 range to get anything smaller than Small Mens!

Yeah, R4 is the range they do a boys size in. Otherwise the R7 and R11 range is only available in OSM, Mens and Small mens....that's for pads and gloves... :)

Last years ones had a lot of fans, I know a couple of guys on here who really rated them. I have the pads to go with the gloves in this thread and they are lovely things. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a set! Dan's a nice guy to deal with as well, which does make a huge difference to me...

I see Dan as a bit of an innovator! Someone who thinks things through in detail and thinks of how to improve them!! I respect people who have a passion for things cricket!
