If you want to get a used one, saw this on ebay GN Lazer Pro. Looks massive and cheap...

Just seen a slazenger Elite v145 bag on eBay, seems to be more of a hockey bag but sold on loads of cricket sites. No bat pockets or anything like that but just one big compartment.

Has anyone got one of these, size is 97 x 42 x 42 so seems pretty big.

recently bought a kook performance duffle, to replace my newbery merlin. happy with it: good size, comfy shoulder straps, and stands up straight. Double bat cave would be good though!

Has anyone seen the boom boom 75 duffle. Was about to order the salix duffle but saw that.

Looks to be a bit bigger than some of the other options, but I can only find limited information on it.

My honest opinion is that it looks awful.

I agree its not the best looking, but I'm looking for a relatively big duffle and can't find any sizes for it.

Picked up a GM 505 duffle on ebay for less than 20 quid, it is easily big enough for all your kit and a couple of bats and has a separate compartment for spikes. No pockets though, except a little one for valuables etc. Would recommend as long as you're not after side pockets.

Hello Im new to the forum...first post!

I'm looking at getting a duffle to take to nets. Has to be something with two decent padded straps (I can't always get a lift there so I'll have to cycle sometimes and a duffle seems like it could work)

Wouldn't need to be massive, I have a Newbery gt bag for matches. More about quality straps and nice high position on the back (away from back tire!)

Can anyone make a recommendation?

Thanks

Thought i'd have a look at the boom boom duffle as my local shop had just got a load in - and ended up buying one.

I wasnt keen on a drawstring top, and this one has a 'flappy' zip top. also it is relatively rectangular in shape which I found some of the others to be rounded. In effect it is almost like a 'stand-up' bag - except it wont stand up unsupported.

It is very roomy and i've got all my kit in there - pads, gloves, thigh pads, helmet, shoes and whites - with room to spare.

Cost was £17. The only negatives I can say are there is no separate boot compartment, and also the build quality isnt the best - but i guess for the price its acceptable.

just in case anyone was considering the boom boom duffle, my initial concerns about the build quality were true and it started to split on the lid after only a few games & nets.

Fotunately managed to swap it at the shop for a newbery duffle.

I have the Newbery GT duffle which fits 2 bats and all my kit although my helmet often drops out of the top due to the tie along with perhaps being slightly too shallow and the shoulder straps not being padded being slight downsides.. an extra 10-15cms would have been perfect... Good quality thick material, two largish outside pockets to fit 'bits and bobs', balls, sweatbands etc and a zipped shoe compartment at the bottom, which I only discovered recently!?
Bought off ebay for 20 odd quid posted I think so a good bargain...
Saying that walking in Dresden with all that kit on a boiling hot day made me realise I needed a wheelie bag and there the search began again.. liked the m&h canvas but went for a team slazenger kit bag which looks huge...haven't seen it yet...
P.s. I like the m&h duffle too which looks quality.. but I recommend wheels...
