Black Beauties
« on: January 22, 2012, 08:22:28 PM »

Well that time of the year to start to think about the new season's kit and my annual trip down to visit Asad at Uzi Sports.
I have been buying my match bats from Asad for the last couple of years now and have been very happy with the bats I have had.
This year I went to visit him at the new shop and the huge number of top quality bats prolonged my visit somewhat !
Anyway this is what I have picked out for this year

On the left one of the UK made plain bats and on the right a plain BAS LE both stickered up with the Uzi sports Black Mamba stickers.

Already started knocking in the BAS and an hour on the bowling machine on Saturday confirms it to be a real gun - can't wait for the season to start now.

Once again many thanks to Asad for letting me come down and spend so long picking up / tapping up all the great bats he has there.

Nice bats; the bow on the left one is quite pronounced.

Big bows are awesome, make the bat pick up miles lighter.

UK Plain bat is 2.9, BAS is 2.10
UK Plain has minimal concaving and a deep bow, BAS has no concaving and a flatter face

I live in MK and play for Great Brickhill in Oxford Cherwell league.

I'd say Cublington is more in the middle of nowhere Golders.. ;) - though a cracking little ground.. :D

On another note, I e-mailed Ben Sim a while back about some stuff we left there, and no reply, do you mind asking him for me please?
