Re-handle...
« on: February 05, 2012, 08:20:26 PM »

Swapped out a kippax wavex handle for a mate. He couldnt get on with the old one. Took me a while cutting the old one out as i had to make a jigg for my mitre saw.

Just need to trim the excess off and re-bind the handle, re-furb and sticker up.

He just said it was really thin and didn't flex that much. Just couldn't get on with it

Looks good mate. Be interesting to see the jig you made. Any pics?

yeah just wondered how you did it thats all, did you say you used a mitre saw? we talking power or by hand? Never heard of one being used to handle a bat. saves alot on costs of a table saw etc lol

used my evolution rage power mitre saw to cut the V, made a jig out of MDF but due to the curve of the blade i had to do a bit of messing about. the handle was harder to cut. just made it oversized and hand fitted using a number 4 plane.
