Hunts County Envy Bat
« on: February 16, 2012, 04:57:12 PM »

Was down at Trago Mills in Liskeard today and saw 2 different types of hunts county envy bats - one was an envy concept with the horrible fake grain sticker anti scuff sheet on the front and others were just envy - no mention of concept and had really nice proper grains on the face. Edges were big and pickup was really good. There is only mention of envy concept bats everywhere online - anyone know anything?? They had 4 or 5 of each in stock.

Both were prices at £47.99 which leads me to think that the nicer one was priced wrongly - would have definitely bought one if the wife wasn't with me and looking distinctly bored!

Didn't realise they sold cricket gear at Trago!
With the way they price everything there it would not surprise me at all to see things stickered up incorrectly.

Thank you SO much for reminding me of the name of this place. Went there once about 15-20 years ago on a weekend away as a youngun and saw the Hunts bats there (and indeed was my first exposure to a non GN/GM company). Tried for the life of me to remember it and couldn't think of it!

A great shop from memory, and certainly doesn't look like it would have cricket gear in there from the outside!

This is the same Trago Mills that has recently been found guilty of polluting the River Fowey on 2 seperate occasions last summer.

They just price everything with an old-fashioned sticker gun so if you don't like the look of a price you can peel it off and replace it with a figure more in your budget!

They are implementing EPOS in the next year though so if you want to use that trick you don't have long left!

Its near Liskeard in Cornwall. I would never shop there again anyway after this pollution charge but to be fair they're not exactly a cricket specialist, they only stock Hunts gear and alot of it has been sat on the shelves for years - just in case anyone was planning a trip down!

2*.... £40 isn't such a bargain. Mine cost £12 off eBay and is 5*...
