Premier helmet
« on: February 27, 2012, 05:40:09 PM »

A little review about my Ayrtek Premier Ti. I have used the helmet in 2 game situations in the nets (lots of running) and in 4 net sessions where I didn't run between the wicket. In the 4 sessions that I wasn't running between the wickets, I loved the helmet, extremely light, good vision and nice to wear. However in the 2 sessions where I was running about a lot, the helmet became loose, it seemed to deflate while I ran and became uncomfortable. The reason for this, I am not sure, it may be that I haven't found the perfect fit yet, or it may be the fact that I have a weird shaped head! I will keep using my Ayrtek throughout the nets, however, if I can't get on with it I shall be using this for the 4th season in a row.

My advice for anyone who wants to get an Arytek is go to a shop and try one on. If you want the best helmet on the market get an Ayrtek (if you have a normal shaped head :) unlike me :(

Read the post CD, he says that he'll stick with "this" referring to the picture, if he can't get on with his Arytek!

I know bud but if you post it in Ayrtek section and title of thread is also associated with Ayrtek then I guess a Ayrtek picture is needed :D

Getting my premier tomorrow, looking forward to it coming and trying it out. Thankfully running is low on my agenda when I bat so hopefully that'll not be a problem!

U may need to tighten the chin strap if it's wobbling when running.

Perhaps try a set of sweat pads if uv got an odd shaped nogging ???

Sorry, not going to hijack your thread. Just wondering would the Ayrtek premier fit my 63cm fat head? I am pondering the thought on one.

We've had customers with bigger craniums...if u hold the release valve down and press it down on ur head it forces all the air out of the liner to give a bigger size than normal.

Kind of like vacuum packing stuff :)

I always have the chin strap nice and tight :) will try some padding inside the helmet, cheers Tom
