Right then - much intrigue has led me to the purchase of an Asian made bat. I have been tempted to buy and try one out now for some time and have taken a punt on an AS V3.
From what I have seen and read, the V3 has a pretty good write up. Don't get me wrong I am not a fan of how it looks cosmetically with the over the top graphics but since I received it the shape and feel have grown on me!
It's not an over exagerated bow, pretty subtle in fact with a mid-low middle.
This particular bat has 17 grains, around half heartwood and weighs 2:13. I've applied 2x coats of oil so far, an extra grip and will be knocking it in over the next few days ready for a net at the weekend. Haven't tried it with golves yet but may even add another grip as the round handle feels smaller than on my current bats.
I thought the review will benefit other folf of the forum like myself who may be thinking of looking at Pakistani/Indian bats and are curious about how they perform. It's quite apprpriate at present too with so many great looking Asian BAS/CA/SS bats from Asad appearing on the forum.
This one looks and feels like a belter so we will have to see. It only cost grade 4 willow money as being a 2:13 it was deemed a little on the heavy side for most batsman so I got a cracking deal on the price.
I will give an update on the performance over the next week or so.
