Lets talk underware
« on: February 29, 2012, 08:54:01 AM »

Right I have a new hurdle in my quest for batting comfort.

When bowling/Fielding I wear boxers under my trousers but have found with nets now I have to wear my jock strap for my box over my boxers when bowling so i don't have to strip off to fit the box for batting but this is not comfy and makes me sweat way to much.

So my question is what do folk uses under there trousers when playing?

Cheers

I wear skins with a pouch in them. Very comfy and it has the pouch for your box in it.

Canterbury Fielding whites have a mesh lining which is perfect for batting and keeping.

(In one of the many kit mods I've done...!) I've tied my (Aero) box to my strippers waist band, thus keeping it where you need it (vertically) (and owing to the slim/long nature of the Aero box it doesn't move sideways too much), and enabling it to be worn over boxers and under the outer layer, whilst the strippers can sit on the outside or inside. Works a treat tbf!

I've got underarmour shorts that have a pouch in them, to be honest though the shockdoctor box that I use does move around a bit in them. Not enough to be dangerous but just enough to make me fidget a bit.

Also got some GN coverpoint things that seem to fit a box a bit better. Wear one of them for all nets and games as they're compression gear, not sure how much it helps but before I wore them I did once pull my groin in nets and I've not done it since.

Just standard batting briefs with a pouch for a box which I bought from SCS.... Funny story the way I got it, left for an away game and I realised I forgot my old briefs, stopped in SCS on the way and scored my first league ton with them a few hours later :D
