My new sticks from Woodstock Cricket are absolute class!! Been using them for a couple of years and the bats along with the service is top drawer. So much so that virtually all seniors at Wimbledon Cricket Club (Surrey Championship 1st and 2nd XI Premier league champions 2011) are using Woodstock bats, soft gear and luggage!! This has also started to spread throughout the entire league so they obviously do something right!!
Also they are holding a 20% off bats and 10% off soft gear sale until April for anyone that follows them on Twitter. Get on it, Serious gear!!

absolutely chuffed for John at woodstock, lovely fella top bats
and a proper poke in the eye for a certain ex forum sponsor who went out of his way to dumb the guy down for not being a podshaver, as if everyone who sells bats is....

delighted for woodstock

Who was it that went out of his way to say John wasn't a pod shaver?? I know for a fact that he is!! Having seen him do it in front of me on many occasions!!
I agree though it is great news for him!! Quality quality kit!!

I'm obviously having a slow day... Still not got it!! ha ha

I know what you mean about the smaller manufacturers, There are a lot of them out there but guys like Woodstock certainly stand out!! With his Newbery background he has credibility and the bats he is making and sending out to people are only complimenting that!!The Wisden is a MASSIVE achievement for such a "small" company!! The big boys are starting to sit up and take notice apparently!!

just got the widen gear guide. some dont like it and dont think it's a fair reflection...
personally i like the guide

Arrtek did very well this year and i guess they are pleased...

if you look at companies like choice willow who i have been to, they consistently make quality bats.
i'm sure people like the big guys like gm,gray nics, kooks but you are playing for their sponsorship of pro players.

£200 gets you a grade 1 class bat from a UK based smaller manufacturer-i'm not sure you would get that from the bigger companies

that's just my opinion,im sure others have their preferences....

Aah now I see why I just got a note from the administrator.... I'm afraid you must have the wrong person Mr Ayrtek. I certainly don't own Woodstock, as far as I know only John does??

i'm pretty sure John set up on his own, he obviously has contacts at Newbery still, but a large number of companies get their pressed willow from them.

Don't know of anyone who has any interest in Woodstock apart from John N
