Which socks
« on: March 04, 2012, 06:08:40 PM »

My kookaburra cricket socks are getting a bit battered and was looking to replace them. Are the horizon socks worth the extra money? Seen them on eBay here which seems a good deal http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2012-Horizon-Pro-Cricket-Socks-Size-UK-7-5-11-/150730988958?pt=UK_Sporting_Goods_Sports_Clothing_LE&hash=item2318445d9e#ht_1311wt_1156

I use Horizon Test socks and they are simply amazing, easily better than Kookaburra, GMs etc

Definitely worth it imho!

Yep 1000 mile socks are the best by far, best cricket purchase I made last year, esp playing premier league games and fielding a stupid amount of overs in a day!  Worth every penny.

Get anything but cotton for sports. Cotton holds sweat and also goes hard when drying out. A wool blend is the best way to go. Trust me I used to be a meter reader and walked 20km a day as my job.

I use any socks that don't smell too bad and have a max of only 1 or 2 holes! It does feel good putting a reshly washed pair on from time to time though ;) oh the life of a student!

My mate wears the school football socks as he forgot his cricket ones and scored a ton first time he did it and averaged over 80 last season after swapping. Think I might do the same this year.
