My Stag Do
« on: March 08, 2012, 12:43:05 PM »

I'm not too sure where I should post this so apologies if it's in the wrong place!  I'm getting married in October, but befroe that there is the important matter of my Stag Do.  I was looking to take a group of mates down to Newquay for a weekend mid September and get a game of cricket in on the Saturday, but they groundshare with the local football club so thats out!

I'd like to see if any of you guys would like to host us on a mini tour, I play for Woking and Horsell CC in Surrey so ideally 5 hours drive would be great, oh and half decent nightlife and a cheap hotel would be good.  I'm aiming for there to be about 20 of us and we'll be happy to consume a sizeable amount of alcohol in your clubhouse as well.  If anyone is interested let me know.

Oh and one rule the Stag is never out!!! (So that'll be about 20 runs!) :D

Let me speak to our clubs chairman etc as its our 50th anniversary this year so any events to host are being considered. In the meantime check out our pitchero account streethouse cricket club and let me know if you'd be interested in coming up. Wakefield is famous for a good and cheap night out but there's Leeds a short train journey away as well  :D we have a small bar and enough beer monsters to compete haha

Awesome - I had a cricket tour for my stag do - commemorative playing shirts and caps for all involved.

3 days cricket plus lots of excess was gruelling though!

We stayed in static caravans to keep costs down

Looks good, we'll be a real mixed bunch of players to guys who haven't played before.  Let me know what your chairman says and we'll go from there, I'm looking at ideally planning this for the weekend of the 15/16 or 22/23, the earlier would be better as I get hitched on 6/10.  :s
