M&H on Sky
« on: March 19, 2012, 02:22:12 PM »

Saw this and it made me laugh, 2.32 clip and watch Nick in the background showing us either he hasn't a clue about handle shaping or it is simply a ploy to demostrate the time and effort that goes into removing a gram of willow and cane, for those who are interested the handle will be finished on June 14th at 4.35pm...

thats great.

im not sure he actually removed any willow/handle during that. im guessing he gets paid by the hour which is why the bats are so expensive.

Ha that is a pathetic attempt at trying to look busy. Must not be selling many bats if they are taking that long to make....

Would have been more impressive to see 5 bats shaped in that time, not a big ask for a Pro.

Why bother though?? Why stand there and do that for the sake of a bit of tv coverage?? Why not actually do the handle.... Surely that would have been the right thing to do? Or be shaving a bat down etc. Jesus even gripping the bloody thing would have looked more authentic than that shadow shaving effort. Granted I can't do it but it just looks a bit daft

Personally I like millichamp bats, very very expensive but lovely nontheless. Just pointless 'pretending' if you can actually do the job.

I'm big fan of M&H gear, have couple of their bats and other bits and bobs are en route.

However, please see this;

nobody hates M&H it was just a rubbish effort to look busy. We have plenty of experts on the subject in this forum and they should've come to us first for "creative input"  :D

If you weren't all looking at the batmaking techniques and listening to the interview instead lol. It wouldn't have even registered!
