Well that was an interesting game. We bowled first and they got 209-4 after 35 overs then declared. We then batted, got 36 all out, not a very good batting display. I felt like I was going well on 3, then their opener bowled a peach of a ball, pitched on leg and hit the off stump bail. At least we got home earlier eh :D

First win at my new club. Bowles 5 balls 2 wickets and one run, that being a wide.
Bowles the oppo out for 53 on a not so nice deck.
Batted 4 got 9 and then mistimed a full toss straight to the fielder gutted! At the pub by 4 though top stuff, lovely sunburn to match as well

Another game, another good personal batting display, and another loss. Batted first, hit 217-5, they won by 6 wickets in the 46th over. Richard(!) Coughtrie of Gloucestershire hit 46 off not man and then they cruised home!

quiet day for me. Oppo stuck us in and we got 308-2 in 45 overs. Should've been 400+ but our opener blocked his way to 42 off 33 overs. I was never in any danger of taking my shorts off before tea lol. Pagey smacked 119* in the second half of the innings, one for the honours board.  They ground out 90ao in 42.4 overs, pretty tedious stuff. Enhanced by economy rate with 5-2-4-2 towards the end when I eventually did something.

Involved in my first ever tie. Opened the batting and reached 70-0, before slumping to 146 ao in 42 overs. They got off to a flyer, but managed to reign them back despite  two horrendous umpiring decisions, one lbw not given for "a big stride" on a deck that had been keeping low all day, and an edge that i had to dive for which wasnt given! They were crusing when their pro went down to lap sweep and was caught brilliantly at short fine leg, one of the best catches ive ever seen! we then got them back to about 130-7, however they got to 146 eight down, when our opening bowler clean bowled their 10 and the umpire (other end) gunned their number 11! On in cricket

Our game was such a farce today I'm not sure I can find the words to describe it. Words used by team mates include least enjoyable game ever, pointless and an absolute waste of time. Suffice to say we lost, managed to toe a full toss straight to a fielder for the second week in a row and kept like someone who had never kept before :(

My abysmal season continued with a blob today. We were all out for 99. Opposition knocked them off for 2.

Lost today on a belter of a track I got 0 lbw but according to a bloke (plus all of our team and 10 of there's who did not appeal) it was the worst decision he'd seen in 45 years of playing cricket so feel little hard done by as on a bouncy track I came down wicket 3 yards and ball hit me just below knee roll and im 6ft4 then ump gives me saying its plum nice

got called up for my 1's debut today, very very shocked only being 14! they chose to bat, and got 196 ao, there opener was a bit of a shot a ball merchant but it worked well and he got 86 before playing a sweep to a peach of a ball that hit the top of off stump. So we hadnt been set a huge target, we all thought-easily do-able if we bat sensibly, needless to say...it wasnt that simple....after 2 overs we were 0-2...not a great start...in came our 4-one of the best batsmen in the league has scored something like 10000 runs i think, came in looks set, then gets bowled, again not great, when I get it, we are something like 60-7 off 22 overs Hugh and I, end up batting untill the 42nd over, before I go for 31, to an absolutely stunning catch (Jimmy Anderson eat your heart out!) the guy must have dived about 5ft in the air. eventually we close out the game for a losing draw I was well chuffed

Batted first, put 180 on, I got 3 batting at 10 and tried to smash their quick over midwicket, clipped top of off, I thought it would get up more. Humph. Fielding was poor, 12-2-50-2, bowling at 2 bloody lefties for most of it, I just cannot bowl to them! Nightmare. They knocked it off 5 down.
