Got a game in the 1's yesterday. We batted first and posted 266 all out from 52 overs. I batted at 9 and got 42 from 17 balls. Their innings came to a close on 209-9 from 44 overs. I hate draws!

I saw you got a few mate, well done.... Looks like you boys need a few wins?

Lost to a right bunch of ***** yesterday! We have beaten them almost every time for 3-4 years now and after they chased down out 224 with an over to spare one of their openers shook our hands for the first time after always mysteriously disappearing everytime they lost.. At the end of the day its a game and if you can't shake the oppositions hand after losing then you really need to re-evaluate your sad and pathetic life.

I have been struggling with my bowling recently however due to how short of players we are I'm forced to stay in the 1st team rather than dropping to the 2nd's where I could also work on my batting..

Got a call up a bit out of the blue to play yesterday in a Channel Island League fixture away in Jersey.

With only 1 score of more than 10 in a game that's finished so far I was more than a little surprised to be asked to open the batting but luckily had instructions to go and tee off straight away and managed to make 31 off 28 balls although got dropped twice on 0 and 5, I'd have taken any score of 10+ at the start of the game.  Unfortunately we lost, made 196 for 9 in 50 batting first which wasn't quite enough, they got it in 40.2 overs 6 down, we needed another 40 or 50 runs probably.

Hopefully I can now get some runs over the remaining fixtures I have but I won't hold my breath.

Need more than a few mate. Not going to go into much detail, but you must remember what i said at the start of the season. Need to win 4 of the last 6 games i think.
I got tucked right into their overseas bowling, took him for 5 six's, sending one of them onto the 3rd team pitch, he got me last ball.
See you and Resh got a few between you, well done.

Whats this i hear you dropped a dolly yesterday? lol

There is nothing worse than having a team 9 down. If a miracle doesnt happen, then you will be filling your boots with the best tea's in Essex, and probably the country  ;)

Lost our semi-final today which was bad, I didn't help much opening and getting caught one handed at deep point for 4 off 5 then rushed off to be sick and try and recover to field, didn't happen in the end so one of our guys watching had his kit and fielded.

Won our 1st XI league game yesterday holding the oppo to 183-9 in 45. We got it 5 wickets down with 17 overs left. I got 55 off 61 opening in a 100+ 3rd wicket partnership which was good.

My season has been pathetic. I got hit for 3 sixes in a over 3 months ago. I havent been  bowling well from that time that affected my batting as well.

did you tell him to shut his (no swearing please) mouth and talk to you once he had some runs to talk about .... i would have.

if someone dishes it out you have to give it back

When he must be 45 years old and i'm 20 and I took the opportunity to try myself at a better level and he gives me a send off like that I didn't even think he was worth the effort of turning around really.

Very very sad bitter men at my old club as you can probably guess!

I've had this. I moved after 11 years at my last club to a better one. We played them near the start of the season and I didn't get much grief. We played them 3rd game of the season and posted 264-8, then they batted out for the draw from ball one, reaching 180-3! Then played them again a few weeks ago and let them bat first. All out for 78 and then knocked them off 3 down. Unfortunately I got a duck, and plenty of grief. Disappointing when you've played there since you were 13 for 11 years but I suppose that doesn't count for much anymore! Big smiles after the game after they had been humiliated. There's no comeback to that!

It's true, the Harv made his debut for Bedminster 5ths...
