The Oxford - 2011 Model Sale
« on: April 01, 2012, 01:37:34 PM »

Gents,

The pictured 4 'The Oxford' bats are from our 2011 range. As mentioned, these were hand made in Cambridgeshire and come with a slightly adapted version of our 2011 sticker design (a sneak preview of our 2012 stickers which are to be released shortly!).

From L-R these are: 2.8, 2.11, 2.11, 2.85. The 2011 G1 RRP was £190, but these are for sale for £160

really nice shape this, ideal for an early season English track.

That's the idea - with bat making having tended towards huge edges and big spines increasingly over the last few years, we decided to release a model that harped back towards a more traditional English shape, while also retaining some of the popular features of recent years (such as a slight bow).

Shouldn't be too much of a familiar shape Canners as it was made to order. But as we based it on a traditional English shape, it should be familiar to an extent..

Will the 2012 bats have MMxii..?

Nice little addition to subtly put the year the bats are made within the stickers.

If there is one thing that sells bats it is a nice photo on a sunny day :) Your offerings became instantly appealing when you posted these pics!

As for the shape thing, I suppose when enough people make enough bats you will get some crossover with shape. With full sized bats there really are only two main shapes. Traditional which is how most English bats once were, and modern, which is really just a take on the classic Asian profile. All other shapes are variations of one or the other, no way around it.

We hadn't thought of that actually! It currently says MMXI as we were founded in 2011, but we could change it each year as you suggest...

Gents

We need to shift these to make room for new stock, so if it would be of interest I'm happy to sell them in a deal with our Players gloves for £185 or with our pads for £215.

If you would like pads, gloves and one of these bad boys please PM me for a further reduction.

Regards,

Gus

The two bats on the Right have now sold, but the two on the left remain. If anyone is interested in both PM me and we can discuss a price.

Sold the 2.85 - just the 2.11 in the middle on the left. Lovely bat. £170 posted, or £207.50 posted with our Players Gloves.
