The Cambridge shape is designed for fluent stroke makers - it is the now 'classic' big edges, high spine carried through to the tail & concaved profile bat.

The G2 weighing 2.8 (left) is available for �145, and the G1 also 2.8 for �165.

Stunning and extremely classy looking bats and stickers.. will have to keep an eye on you guys for a future order.....

I was curious how you personally grade your bats as i'd definitely pay the extra 20 quid for the grade 1 in your photos. Apart from the extra red/heartwood and what looks like the bigger profile of the Gd 1, there seems little difference on first reflection..

We grade them on the quality of the face - so we consider blemishes, heartwood, the number and straightness of grains. This is a lot less subjective than the new fad of grading on 'ping' or 'performance', and helps ensure that customers known what they are getting for their �.

You've just left yourself open for someone to say that if you grade on look rather than performance it would be possible to buy a pretty dog from you.

Not sure I agree with you S Taylor3, it could be equally argued that those that quote 'performance' on low grain bats are doing the same. Probably best to stop trying to find faults, and accept Blenheim Cricket as a company who sponsor this forum with offers for forum members. This can only be a good thing.

This is a tough one... from my limited experience of seeing, handling and buying bats you can have a beautiful, unblemished 7-12 dead straight grained bat that cosmetically looks 'perfect' but if it's overpressed then will not perform/ping.
I've had bats with redwood on the outside but in all honesty prefer straightish grains with some blemishes in the right places to add 'strength' e.g. shoulder, toe or outer edge.

I did not mean to leave you guys open and I'm sure the forum members will review your stunning looking bats as they are sold. I wish you all the best and perhaps at the end or beginning of next season will buy one of your bats thanks to great reviews...

Well while if this happened we'd happily chat to the unhappy customer, in reality most professional cricketers (rightly or wrongly) will plump for the good looking bat instead of picking the one which 'pings' better but looks rubbish. This could well be because good appearance is correlated with good performance...look at the major brands such as Kooka, GN, GM and virtually 100% of their top of the line models will have a great appearance. As I said, our grading removes subjectivity and we believe that to be a good thing.

People here tend to be more cynical than your average cricketer because they have seen every trick in the book attempted by batmakers. There is no right answer to this. If you graded on performance only, someone would complain too.

People here might be knowledgeable but not all of them are cynical, thankfully. We appreciate a good bat when it is a good bat. Welcome to the forum Blenheim and I am sure you will like it here.
