New Supreme
« on: April 04, 2012, 08:49:44 PM »

Well after looking around and really in no need of a new bat, I liked the look of the supreme and the special offer grabbed me. I arranged to visit Paul this morning on my way through to a meeting in Yorkshire. After having a chat it was down to going through the rough shaped clefts, there was some beauties but with advice from Paul and a mallet and ball, a decision was made. Paul then shaped it to get the pick up, once happy I left for my meeting. 3 hours later I was back and bat was finished and I am one very happy batter. The pick up is superb and the ping seems very good, now for the knocking in. I cannot recommend the service and quality of the bat more highly and Paul is a top guy. If you need or want a bat get a supreme. I also had a sneaky peak of the pads and gloves that arrived today, both were nice and compliment the bats nicely.

Apologies for the untidy boot but it's a wife free zone

lovely looking bat that, is there a hint of an offset edge, or more probably, the angle of the picture?

still wife free zones are somewhat hard to come by, so well done!

Ayrtek it is s bit short but when you only use the middle it is perfect, I wish. I have sorted out the pictures as well, no need for the 3 of the same.

Here's me desperately trying to be a good boy and not buy any more bats as I have a car that needs buying and you're presenting me with bat porn like this.....damn this website! I'll now spend the rest of the day trying to justify another bat... ;)

I though that as well.

Looks a nicely finished stick, hope you score a bag full with it!

Where the thickest point of the edge is lower/higher than the highest point of the spine.

Thickest part of the edge is just below the highest point on spine. I have been doing a bit of knocking in today, it taps up very nicely.

I can only echo what Barry has said.  Went over to see Paul on Friday, spent a fascinating hour sorting out my preferences and getting the weight/shape/handle right.

Collected the bat this morning, gobsmacked to say the least, so much wood, perfect pick up and still light at just under 2'9 (it's actually got a bigger profile than my much heavier bats).

Walked away with pads and gloves too (moment of weakness at the cash machine).

I've sent the wife out for the afternoon with the kids so I can start knocking it in.

Paul, thanks for the little tips, I will be back
