Wearing a sweatband for batting
« on: April 08, 2012, 09:45:48 AM »

Does it make you look like a poser or arrogant if you wear a sweatband like what trott and  strauss, were doing in sri lanka and what bell and pietersen have done for years when batting in matches and nets at under 15 and in some senior cricket matches and training.

I sometimes wear one purely because of how much I sweat and also can be used as a ARM guard if its long enough

I think answers are likely to be the same as the last time you asked near enough the same question:

End of the day no one cares about what you wear, All that matters is what you do with the bat in your hands mate.

It makes you look soooo cool and everyone will admire you...

Is that what you wanted to hear?

Ps. Selectors will be watching too

I always wear a sweatband when I'm batting, sometimes 3 or 4. When added to a couple of shirts with collars popped and a liking for this modern 'robot music' my coolness becomes hard to quantify in terms you younger chaps would understand!

I sweat eating a salad. I wore a sweat band under my batting helmet (early style Albion) but didn't take into consideration it was a purple one. After a couple of hours batting my head was the same colour or at least it was where the sweat band was.

Just make sure its white.

Better than stinging eyes

Or if you can carry it off, a bandana like Chris Gayle. The louder the better, why not in your favorite footy teams colours, that'll test your mettle.

If you don't have a bandana I find my Y fronts work well. Just make sure they aren't the ones you wore last week when that guy bounced you at 90mph.

I think someone has memory issues.

Not cool, wear one if you need it. If not then don't. Simple.

I initially wore one because I do sweat a fair bit, and went well while wearing one, now it has become more of a superstition to me and I rarely use it for its intended purpose anymore, lol. No one has ever said anything to me about wearing it either.

At the end of the day, if you want to wear one, just wear it.
