Copy of the bat advice please
« on: April 11, 2012, 07:48:04 PM »

Hi
I have just cracked my favorite ever bat, it is the bat that feels just right.

So if you wanted a copy made of the bat you love the most, who would you trust to make the copy?

which batmaker?
Many thanks

I'd have to say you want one with a choice of willow before they start, that is the vital component as every cleft varies. You also need someone who can match the pressing style and obviously shape very well by hand.

It is a bradbury I got from "MrCricket" and he got it from "Hosk", it came out of a pro's bag, it does not look like a standard bradbury.

Thanks Talisman, but where should I start, which company would best suit my needs

Andy at SAF would probably be your best bet, knows loads about how to replicate bats feels with Inertia and all that. Might have to be an Ultima though which would set you back quite a bit.

Or fly to Australia and pay Bradbury a visit.

Why not find out which bat makers are near you and take the bat along with you and talk to the bat maker.

Well can Mr Hosk or you put up the pic's and find out what it started as because this will make the copying much easier.
