So basically, laminates aren't technically allowed to be used by pro's, but apparently they are and not a lot is being done to stop them.

Technically, Laminates are illegal from all forms of cricket governed by the MCC laws...

Are they being used. Probably. Are they being used widely? Probably not.

Almost all the pro players are also using a new gold insert in the handle, which provides a huge increase in power. It's strictly illegal, but the MCC are turning a blind eye.

Oh and the bats can only be purchased from me for £500.

I have had 3 laminates in my time, all of them the performance type. The bats were very good, but no better than a top performing one piece bat. I would say my Screaming Cat was on par with them. if you are used to using a plank, then they will provide a noticeable difference in performance. if you are used to using high quality bats then id say the difference is marginal.

I will put some pics up later tonight or tomorrow of the ones I get from the keeleys. Got 1 in stock that I got last week and its a fine example of a laminate bat.  In saying that they are the only ones I have ever seen in the flesh. I think there are some photos of them in another thread somewhere as well.

This is a very interesting thread as have many others been,

I have been on the forum a little while now and have seen members being mocked because they did not / could not provide proof of the claims they were making.

As an example Talisman i believe you were the one of many of us who picked on leachy, and were right to ask for the info (Pic of binding on handle) you were asking considering Leachy claimed he made a bat; yet here in this thread you have a claim without any proof / unwilling to share it..does not mean you are wrong but common share some inside knowledge :)

I think it would be difficult to name names in this instance.
