While I was fitting some new stickers to one of my bats i noticed that the width across the top of the face of the blade is about 5mm narrower then the width of the toe across the face.
So I just wanted to know if this was the standard across most bats manufactures or is it just something the bat maker does to drop a little weight from the bat?
Anybody else have this?
Had a CA TRD which had the same issue ..... i did not pick it up but was immediately picked-up by a reputed batmaker when I asked him to make me a copy of the bat.
Seen some Asian made bats which are 2-3mm narrower.
Low weight and Big edge bats are in demand, so taking a 2-5mm off the width, does the trick as most people will not pick this up / get blinded by the edge size for the weight (36mm on a 2lb8oz) and grains.
