Hello,

When fitting a scuff sheet, are you meant to
A) round it off to the shape of toe
B) cut it off short of the toe?

Horses for course mate...i fit ours around the arc of the toe as i think it looks tidier and protects the most vulnerable area of the bat from yorkers, mud, water etc

Around the arc. Sometimes due to the finishing on the bat the antisuff does not stick too well around the arc, so I generally give a light sanding around the arc and this helps in getting a better / stronger bond with the willow near the arc.

A hammer edge or similar scuff sheet is beat put before the knocking in as it being harder ir does not take shape to stick to the dents from the knocking.

If you like to knock you bat in before putting the antiscuff, then use either the normal clear antiscuff or the newer self healing antiscuff (opaque like the hammer edge but thinner and more flexible).

i always find if you cut it round water gets under it and it starts to come away so i generally square it off.

swuare about 5mm from the bottom as i find when sliding it in and out of my bat pockets etc it comes up at the bottom and drives me mad

I put a few narrow layers of shoo goo or similar quick drying rubber adhesive over the arc to seal the space between the end of the scuff sheet and the toe guard. Need to replace it after every 7-10 games though - better than spending on a new scuff sheet or getting a swollen toe.

Have tried putting a few layers of waterproof PVA along the arc before putting the scuff sheet and that also helps.
