How do the retro remakes compare to modern designs?
« on: April 26, 2012, 12:36:28 PM »

We've seen GN's Scoop and Hunts County's Caerulex Redux bats, plus GM's 1885. These bats are classic bats remade.

Alongside them we see the Ultra and Legacy from James Laver and things such as the Master from M&H.

Which of these have you used and do you think that these retro bats are worthwhile or have the boundaries now moved and the newer designs are better?

Theres some middle ground, surely - I mean, its not like the current GN100 is exactly the same as the old traditional Scoop, now is it?

I agree, the Retro's are in name only, massive difference in the bat shapes. You only go back when you can't go forward....

Agree to some extent, but old is gold too.
