Once upon a time there was a Yorkshire born lad called Shahmal Ajzad.
He liked to play cricket, he thought himself a bit of a batting alrounder, but his batting average wasn't so hot.
But as an international cricket he felt he had a right to bowl with the new ball and bat at number 7 regardless of who else was in the team. As an international cricketer, his ego dictated that he could go out when he wanted, practice when he wanted and he knew what was right for him. He was also fully justified in asking for a huge pay rise once he started bowling as well as batting.
