The West Indies attack is pretty useful in my eyes.....not sure about the batting though... ;)

Roach, Edwards and Rampaul is a pretty handy trio and there are worse spinners than Shillingford about as well....

Why? He's crap!!! A one day sunday bully!

Yes because only crap players can deal with the pressure of captaincy and average 50 this season on difficult pitches.. I don't think he is quite ready to go into the England team, however if he continues to perform well then I see no reason why he can't move into the England team when the likes of Strauss and KP retire.

I'm not sure on James Taylor, his knock today was his first decent score of the season with an average of around 30, that's the not the form of an England batsman..

At the moment I'm favouring Bairstow because he has a good average so far this year, he's young(22) and he already has some international experience from his time playing in the ODI's and T20's.

It would seem that Bopara is out with injury so they've picked Bairstow instead....Feel a bit sorry for James Taylor...Can't do much more than a ton for the Lions against the same opposition 2 days before the squad is picked...

Scoring some runs in the CC might have helped his cause...

I also reckon this is the reason he wasn't included. He has, however, put his name in the forefront of the selector's mind so he should take heart! The best thing he can do now is go and score a century in the CC.

On another note I'm glad Onions has made the squad because I always thought he deserved another chance after injury!

Strauss
Cook
Trott
Pietersen
Bell
Bairstow
Prior
Bresnan
Broad
Swann
Anderson

That's what I reckon the team will be. Looks pretty good

Finn will probably get the nod over Bresnan, even though he probably shouldn't
